After exploring a Oaxacan village we finally wandered upon the right posada with the perfect artisan we had been searching for. We walked into the central courtyard past baskets of un-spun wool, alpaca, angora, and even yack hair. There were bowls full of dried plants, flowers, and insects used to naturally dye the yarn. While sharing his story about the craft, the lead weaver showed us around, explaining to us the process of spinning, dyeing, and weaving. Upon experiencing the quality of his work and his passion behind it we knew he would become one of the artisans to help bring Rook and Render to life.
